Ukrainian Defense Forces succeed in 2 areas of southern front
As of the morning of August 25, Ukrainian troops continue to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Melitopol sectors

Specifically, progress has been made in the Novodanilivka-Novoprokopivka and Mala Tokmachka-Ocheretuvate areas. Ukrainian forces have successfully advanced in these areas, solidifying their positions along the attained lines. They have also been effectively engaging in artillery strikes against identified enemy targets and executing counter-battery measures.
Meanwhile, in the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carry out offensive operations south of Bakhmut, consolidating their positions.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold back the offensive of Russian troops in the Kupyansk, Lyman, and Bakhmut directions. Heavy fighting continues.
In turn, Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives near Avdiivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. They are suffering significant losses in personnel, weapons, and equipment, are relocating units and troops, and are actively using reserves.
Over the last day, 35 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops took place on the frontline.
