Putin says ‘everyone envies Russia’ as he voices new propaganda narrative
Russian propaganda media are actively spreading a cynical statement by the Russian leader Vladimir Putin
This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
"We are still envied by others, otherwise they would not mess with us. That's the whole point," Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
The analysts emphasise that the Russian dictator is trying to come up with new excuses and convince everyone that the problems in Russia are developing only because other countries "are simply jealous of Russia."
Notably, Putin did not say whom he considers "envious".
"Putin's frequent "sermons" about "great victories" are a kind of rehearsal before the anniversary of the invasion, where the Russian dictator will have to report to his people. The activation of the occupiers' troops, as well as the increase in the number of missile attacks, are primarily aimed at making the Russian population happy with fictitious successes at the front before February 24," the Center for Countering Disinformation says.
