Macron: I will continue to talk to Russia despite criticism
French President Emmanuel Macron has said he will continue to talk to Russia, despite the criticism it provokes
He said this during a reception at the Elysee Palace on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, TF1 INFO quoted him as saying.
“Some people may have criticized me at one time or another for my dialog with Russia, but I will continue to talk to Russia,” Macron said.
According to him, all countries are responsible for the world order. Accordingly, they should all contribute to its maintenance.
Macron also called on China to oppose the "imperialist war" in Ukraine.
“But who could defend the possibility of a free and stable international order if we turned a blind eye to imperialist war?” the French president added, pointing to China.

On December 3, Macron said that Europe's security architecture should include guarantees for Russia, including the impossibility of NATO expansion. NSDC Secretary Oleksii Danilov responded by emphasizing that security guarantees are needed from Russia, not for it.
