“Everything Russia does is an attempt to end war” – Center for Countering Disinformation warns of Putin's narratives being promoted by Russia
On January 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with World War II veterans, where he repeated all the main narratives of Russian propaganda
This was reported by the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation.
"The fighting in Donbas has not stopped since 2014. Everything Russia is doing today is an attempt to end the war," Putin said.
The Center also noted what other narratives the president of the terrorist country is promoting:
"Russia could not tolerate the abuse of people who supported Russia in Ukraine."
"The decision to start the "special military operation" is difficult, forced, but necessary."
"The government of Ukraine is illegitimate, as the current leadership of the state seized power by force."
"Donbas is a Russian historical territory".
"Putin's statements look quite predictable, given that such narratives are repeated in almost every speech he makes. Thus, Putin made it clear that no changes are expected in the near future. The occupying Russian forces are now in a defensive position, so Putin is using blackmail, manipulation and diplomatic ties to gain as much time as possible to gather power for a new offensive," writes the Center for Countering Disinformation.
