Centre for Countering Disinformation names main Russian fake on January 27
According to the Center for Countering Disinformation, the main narrative of Russian propaganda on January 27 was Nikolai Patrushev's statement that the full-scale invasion was "the result of years of US preparation for a hybrid war against Russia"
This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council on Telegram.
Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said that "the events in Ukraine were the result of years of US preparation for a hybrid war against Russia." The Secretary of the Russian Security Council also used typical Kremlin theses about the "puppet Kyiv regime" and "deliberate prolongation of the conflict by NATO countries."
Thus, Russian propaganda used this narrative as the main one in its messages on January 27.
"The constant repetition of fakes by Kremlin officials will sooner or later be perceived by Russians as true, and they will independently conclude that they need to "defend" themselves against the United States," the Center emphasized.
