Zelenskyy, Macron meet at Elysee Palace

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the information on Telegram.

"Ukraine and France are defending the freedom and security of Europe together!  Every day we are bringing peace closer for all Ukrainians and Europeans," the leader of Ukraine said.

Meanwhile, the French president congratulated the Ukrainian leader on his visit, "Dear President Zelenskyy, friend of France, welcome."

• Yesterday, Saturday, May 13, 2023, President Zelenskyy met with the Italian leadership and Pope Francis. After visiting Rome and the Vatican, he traveled to Berlin.

• Volodymyr Zelenskyy devoted almost all Sunday, May 14, to negotiations in the German capital.

• The main goal of his current European tour is to form a "fighter coalition," i.e., an association of Western countries capable of providing the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the modern fighter jets necessary for a counteroffensive.

• After his official visit to Germany, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will arrive in France for talks with Emmanuel Macron.
