Ukraine works on creating fighter jet coalition — Zelenskyy
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that one of the goals of his visit to Europe is to work on creating a coalition of states supplying fighter jets
This was stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with media representatives following the negotiations with the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz in Berlin, President’s press service reports.
"We are currently working on establishing a coalition of fighter jets, and part of my visits to the capitals of Europe is dedicated to this objective," Zelenskyy stated while responding to questions from journalists. He further expressed confidence in the coalition's success.
In addition, Zelenskyy mentioned that he will discuss the matter of fighter jet supply with Olaf Scholz and request support from the German side to aid Ukraine.
"Currently, Russia holds an advantage in the Ukrainian sky. However, our goal is to possess strength in this domain," emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Olaf Scholz also emphasized that Germany's support aims to enhance Ukraine's territorial defense capabilities and compel Russia to withdraw its forces from Ukrainian soil.
