Valdai Forum: pathological liar is sure he tells the truth
Putin's geopolitical illusions about "Russian greatness".
Putin's latest speech at the forum in Valdai shows that phobias of a mentally ill person cannot be interpreted as ideology or strategy. Mentally ill persons cannot analyze and see reality because they are in their fantasy world. There is no point in trying to understand what they are thinking or what they are trying to say. Likewise, dictator's assertion that Ukraine itself is allegedly to blame for the fact that Russian Federation attacked it also does not lend itself to any logical analysis.
All he said about Ukraine suggests he has some incurable, sick fixed idea about our country. It is absolutely clear that he will never leave Ukraine and Ukrainians alone. And answering the questions of press representatives, Putin once again emphasized that he believes everything he is doing with regard to Ukraine is correct.
Although what Putin said must be turned on 180 degrees and then the truth will come out. He is always going backwards, saying one thing and doing the opposite. His lies are masterful and sweet, and very easy to fall for if you stop thinking and calling a spade a spade. But if you kill Ukrainian civilians en masse, you are a murderer. When you appropriate something that belongs to the state of Ukraine, you are a thief. And all these tales that Russia is ready for negotiations with Ukrainians on the terms of Moscow, which have already heard from him more than once, cannot impress anyone.
Such pathological lying can be defined by the term "mythomania", introduced into scientific circulation by the French psychiatrist Ernest Dupre more than a hundred years ago. Some psychologists believe that pathological liars differ from ordinary liars in that pathological liar is sure that he is telling the truth, and at the same time he is completely used to this role.
We can draw a logical conclusion that main villain of our time clearly also suffers from such an incurable form of mental illness as mythomania, and sincerely considers everyone else to be fools compared to himself. But in the latter, he may be right only in the part that concerns Russian population, which has endured his criminal regime for more than two decades.
Despite the fact that Russian mass media under regime control try to pass off his Valdai speech as almost a "geopolitical symphony", at the moment there is only one thing behind all this - he wants to stay in power forever at any cost and in any way. Therefore, contrary to everything that he publicly voices, the preservation of his power is his only goal.
Trying to impose his own rules of world order by force, Putin is trying to shift all responsibility for his crimes to the collective West, accusing it of systemic mistakes. Having provoked a global world crisis with war in Ukraine, he openly dreams of new centers of a multipolar world, seeing terroristic Russia as one of such centers.
From the speech of modern terrorist number one, it follows that the only thing he learned during the decade of his dictatorship is to more or less decently read the texts composed for him by others, and, listening to the prompter in the microphone, pass off what was said as his own "titanic" conclusions and opinions.
And proclaiming that "history will put everything in its place", it is as if he is talking about himself, because he forever took the place of the biggest criminal of XXI century. It is certainly good to read beautiful words with quotes of great people from a piece of paper. But why are these words always at odds with actions of the "great leader", who told the audience specially selected for him in an oily voice that it was the West that led to the current situation in Ukraine.
And his irrevocable statement that "the only real serious guarantor of Ukrainian statehood, sovereignty and territorial integrity could only be Russia. Which created today's Ukraine" is the height of political cynicism and a complete denial of the existence of Ukraine in the status of an independent state. After all, we have already learned well what Kremlin's "guarantees" are during the century of forced neighborhood with Russia.
Putin, terminally ill with Ukrainophobia, rushes in different directions, but even before inevitable defeat, he is not going to withdraw his troops from occupied territories of Ukraine. His mental disorder is clearly beyond any treatment, but he repeats with manic stubbornness, every time in his closest circle that Ukraine must be destroyed.
Ideas of the so-called "Russian world" turned out to be defective tools for defeating Ukrainian state. However, the terrorist dictator, taking advantage of the fact that Russians are so far more ready to be guaranteed to die on the battlefield than to raise an uprising against anti-people government in Russian Federation, continues his war in Ukraine.
Devastation, destruction and death on Ukrainian lands "ordinary Russians" do not care at all until war is transferred to their territories. Citizens of a country that wants to rule the world without having any reason to do so do not want to understand how Putin's failed bloody experiment in taking over a foreign country will ultimately turn out for them personally. Russians do not care about human lives, they are zero for them. But when the loss of Russian war in Ukraine will multiply them by zero, then they will begin to understand something. But it will be too late.
During reconstruction, Russia managed to pretend to the West that it was on the side of democratic world, and many recklessly believed it. However, no one at that time tried to somehow remember that, as the evidence of her entire history shows, Russia was capable of significant transformation only from outside. This repeats from time to time, although it does not fundamentally change anything.
Despite the fact that Europe has finally begun to understand that Russia is a terrorist state and that Putin is, in fact, Bin Laden with nuclear weapons, free world is not yet fully convinced that it is necessary to act promptly according to the level of threats to entire human civilization. Despite the fact that Putin's crimes already reach the level of Hitler's crimes, the catastrophe he is carrying is clearly underestimated by those who are empowered to make specific decisions.
Although Russia's influence on geopolitical processes in the world is decreasing almost every day, this does not affect its ability to find allies among other totalitarian states. Trying to demonstrate the triumph of "advanced totalitarianism" with his attempt to conquer Ukraine by force, Putin failed completely and will pay the price for his actions.
In his speech at Valdai Forum, Putin admitted that with war in Ukraine, Russia has started a global game to reset "world geopolitical map", where the United States, united Europe and their allies are excluded from the scope of making crucial international decisions, and Russia and China automatically become masters of the world.
In Russia, this is seen as an honest "multipolar world", in which neither America nor European Union decides anything anymore and constantly makes concessions to Moscow, which will become the leader of new international order and dictate to everyone new rules of the game invented by it.
But no matter what Putin proclaims from the high stands, a turning point in Russian-Ukrainian war is approaching. And in the West, they are already beginning to realize that it is impossible to come to an agreement with him, since he is ready to completely finish off Russia economically and politically rather than retreat from Ukraine.
Valdai has become a political watershed for Putin's regime. A kind of last song about "Russian greatness", which is constantly seen by tyrant in the form of geopolitical hallucinations from the windows of his Kremlin office.
And no matter how much Putin wants it, he will not be able to destroy Ukrainian statehood. He has already determined his place - the worst Russian ruler. No one has yet managed to deceive history, and he will never be able to do it either.
