On July 22, an unnamed high-ranking official from the US Department of Defense said that Ukrainian troops repelled unspecified units of Russian troops in Kherson and launched an offensive along the front line. At the same time, the source refers to the advisor of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, Serhii Khlan, who stated that Ukrainian troops captured unspecified settlements in the Kherson region.
