Ukrainian forces prevail in use of FPV drones in Horlivka direction - serviceman
AFU serviceman Yevhen Ievliev said that the Ukrainian forces prevail over Russian army in the number and effectiveness of FPV drones in the Horlivka sector
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"I have always said that we have a serious advantage over Russian enemy in the number of FPV drones. It is also worth emphasizing the professionalism of our pilots, where we also outnumber our enemy. In particular, this advantage is maintained in the Horlivka sector," Ievlev said.
The serviceman also spoke about the situation with the use of FPV drones in the Avdiivka sector
"As for the Avdiivka sector, Russian enemy, unfortunately, is not inferior to us in the use of FPV drones. In particular, I can say for sure about Stepove. However, I cannot say anything about the professionalism in use of FPV drones. Our guys use drones very effectively. They work at distances from 2 to 10 km. The main setback can be that the drone can fall somewhere in the field and crash. That is why Russia is also actively trying to use FPV drones near Avdiivka," he added.
- On November 30, media reported that Ukrainian companies produce about 50,000 FPV drones a month, which is only 10-15% of the army's needs. At the same time, Russia produces six times more drones.
- At the final conference on December 19, President Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would produce 1 million drones next year.
