Truth is lies and lies are truth - European Commission about Putin’s speech at Valdai Forum
Nabila Massrali, the spokeswoman of European Foreign Affairs Service, says Putin's speech at Valdai Forum sounds like "Orwell's"
The spokeswoman of European Foreign Affairs Service, Nabila Massrali, expressed her opinion on this matter, reports one of Ukrainian mass media.
"In my opinion, this speech cannot be called anything other than Orwell's one. In Putin's speech, wrong is right, right is wrong, truth is "untruth", and untruth is called truth", the spokeswoman emphasized.
She reminded everyone that Russian aggression has created tangible consequences for the whole world.
"Let me remind you of some facts - that it is Russia that is waging an illegal, unprovoked war of aggression against Ukraine, that it is Russian armed forces that are behind the atrocities in Syria and war crimes against civilian population in Ukraine, against women and children. It is a fact that it is Russia that blatantly violates international law and UN Charter, that it is Russia's actions that threaten peace and security not only in Europe - Russian aggression has created tangible consequences for the whole world", she added.
