He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"The situation at the front is quite tense, on the one hand, but on the other hand, we can say with certainty that the initiative is still on the side of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," he said.

Kupyansk direction

The fighter stated that Russian forces are still conducting strike and assault operations, employing various tactics. They launch attacks in smaller groups following artillery preparations and attempt to advance in certain areas with the support of armored vehicles, often in "waves."

"That is, the enemy first uses group 1, whose task is to clear mines and identify Ukrainian firing points. Then they use group 2 and group 3, which are supposed to get as close to Ukrainian positions as possible and try to “burrow in”, and then they use group 4, which consists of more trained soldiers who are supposed to directly storm a particular position. However, the combined tactics of combat operations do not work for them, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hold all their positions," noted Fedorenko.

Bakhmut direction

Yuriy Fedorenko pointed out that in a specific section of the frontline, the Ukrainian Defense Forces were able to secure control of dominant heights and establish bridgeheads, which they have successfully maintained.

"The enemy has a clear objective: to carry out strike and assault operations to retake these positions. However, during such operations, the enemy suffers significant losses in assault groups because the Ukrainian Armed Forces not only captured the positions but were able to consolidate them, preventing the enemy from retaking them," the military emphasized.
