Russia’s troops recommitment from Kherson to Donetsk direction unlikely bring rapid success – ISW
According to the Institute for the study of war (ISW), Russian forces probably would transfer troops to the Donetsk region after the abandoned right bank of the Kherson region to activate operations around Bakhmut, Donetsk and in the west of the Donetsk region.
This is reported by ISW.
“Russian forces will likely make gains in these areas in the coming days and weeks, but these gains are unlikely to be operationally significant,” the report said.
ISW analysts draw attention to the fact that the Russian Defenсe Ministry increased the number of statements about Russian territorial achievements in the Donetsk region on November 13 and 14.
The goal is to emphasize that Russian troops are stepping up operations in the Donetsk region after withdrawing from the right bank of the Kherson region.
So, the Russian Defenсe Ministry said that Russian troops completed the capture of Mayorsk (20 km south of Bakhmut) on November 13 and Pavlivka (45 km south-west of Donetsk) on November 14 after several weeks when they did not declare Russian territorial achievements.
"The Russian Defense Ministry is likely making more concrete territorial claims in order to set information conditions to frame Russian successes in Donetsk Oblast and detract from discontent regarding losses in Kherson Oblast," ISW analysts said- News
