Officer of the Freedom battalion of the National Guard Andrii Illenko believes that losing the war with Ukraine will be the end of the Putin regime

He expressed this opinion on the air of the Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program on the Espreso TV channel.

"Putin plays the role of a mob boss for his entourage and the Russian population. Accordingly, if he shows weakness and loses the fight that he started, then he loses his own authority. Putin cannot do anything. The situation for him is already out of control," he explained.

The officer of the Freedom battalion emphasized that the process of overthrowing the Putin’s regime has already started

"In Russian value system, Putin begins to lose authority. He shows weakness. Russians can forgive their tsars anything. They can forgive any bloody madness against their own people. But they will never forgive the weakness of their dictator. Even more so, Russians will not  forgive defeats in the war. That is why this can become the driving force for the overthrow of the Putin regime. This is an inevitable process," he added.

  • In its October 24 report, the American Institute for the Study of War writes that Yevgeny Prigozhin, a businessman and owner of Wagner's PMC, has more and more influence in Russia. Analysts emphasize that the military structure, where Igor Girkin is involved, may threaten the regime of Vladimir Putin in the future.
