"Unaware of the plans of their command, the Russian commanders order the soldiers to blow up their own stocks of ammunition. If the occupiers are ordered to hold on until the end, the enemy's ability to defend Kherson will be significantly undermined not only by the lack of supplies but also by the fact that they have reduced their stocks and broken their organizational structure," Molchanov noted.

According to the political scientist, there are currently no signs that the occupiers are preparing for street battles in Kherson.

"The residents of Kherson do not see that the occupiers are digging trenches and building barricades around the city. Ukrainian Armed Forces are keeping calm, while the Russians are fussing and making many mistakes that will negatively affect Russians’ ability to defend Kherson," Molchanov emphasized.
