Russia's losses in the full-scale war against Ukraine exceeded 244,000 soldiers. Over the past day, Russians carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, and tried to recapture lost positions in Shakhtarsk sector

Russian troops tried to restore lost positions near Staromayorske, 28 combat clashes occurred at the frontline
During the last day, there were 28 intense clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Russian army on the front line. This information was provided in the morning briefing on July 27 by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Situation in different regions of Ukraine
- On the northern Ukrainian border, the operational situation has not changed. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
- On the northeastern border, Russian troops launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of over 25 settlements across Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
- In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops shelled 6 settlements across the Kharkiv region. They tried to advance near Novoselivske, unsuccessfully.
- In the Lyman direction, Russian troops shelled 6 settlements across the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Russian forces attempted advancing near Dibrova, unsuccessfully.
- In the Bakhmut direction, Russians shelled over 15 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled Russian attacks in the area of Khromove, Druzhba, and Klishchiivka. One area was subjected to air strikes.
- In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements with artillery. Ukrainian forces repelled all the attacks near Avdiivka.
- In the Marinka direction, Russian troops shelled 5 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery. Ukrainian forces hold the defense near Marinka. One area was subjected to air strikes.
- In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops shelled over 15 settlements. Three areas suffered from air strikes. The enemy tried to recapture lost positions near Staromayorske, unsuccessfully.
- In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive. They shelled over 35 settlements across Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. Five areas suffered from airstrikes.
- Meanwhile, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation in Melitopol and Berdyansk directions. They are holding their positions and countering enemy attacks.
Russians launched 49 missile and 37 air strikes against Ukraine in one day
The likelihood of missile and air strikes covering the whole of Ukraine remains very high.
On July 26, the enemy launched 49 missile strikes and 37 air attacks, and they carried out more than 63 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and peaceful areas. As a result, civilian casualties occurred, and residential buildings were destroyed.
AFU hit 2 command posts, an ammunition depot, and three important enemy targets
In the past day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces conducted 11 strikes on locations where the enemy's personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, and they carried out 2 strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
Furthermore, the missile forces and artillery units targeted 11 enemy artillery pieces in their firing positions, 2 command points, 1 ammunition warehouse, 1 area where enemy personnel and equipment gathered, and three other crucial targets of the Russian invaders.
