Russia involves Belarusians in the repair of “unconserved scrap metal” - Ukrainian General Pavlyuk
Part of the equipment arriving from Russia to Belarus has been removed from long-term storage, and the Russian Federation does not have the resources for its deconservation, so Belarusians are involved in the repair
This was announced by the commander of the Kyiv forces and means of defense, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk on Telegram
"The military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation does not have sufficient capabilities to carry out the deconservation. That is why the enemy brings its scrap metal in the direction of Belarus," he wrote.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a significant amount of weapons and military equipment arriving in Belarus from the Russian Federation for training enemy personnel has been removed from long-term storage. Its restoration requires time, as well as significant forces and resources.
"It is known that Belarusian servicemen are involved in the work on the restoration of military equipment that arrived from the Russian Federation. The defense forces are closely monitoring the movements of the enemy, as well as monitoring potential threats that may be associated with joint flight exercises of the forces of the Russian Federation and Belarus from 16 January to February 1. We know where the enemy is placing personnel and equipment," he wrote.
Pavlyuk emphasized that the Armed Forces are ready for various scenarios, but the threat of an invasion from Belarus remains unlikely today.
- Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the equipment and weapons that the Russian Federation is transferring to Belarus for personnel training have been removed from long-term storage and require maintenance.
