Russia forced to stretch supply lines due to Ukrainian strikes – Bundeswehr general
German Brigadier General Christian Freuding says Ukrainian defenders are hitting the concentrations of Russian personnel and equipment, so Russia is "stretching" the supply lines
The Bundeswehr brigadier general shared the information in an interview with DPA, Spiegel reports.
According to German Brigadier General Christian Freuding, Russia is withdrawing important command posts and facilities from the area of fire of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, this stretches supply lines and makes its troops more vulnerable.
"But you see, where Russians don't do this, they get a serious blow from the Ukrainians," he said.
At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian defense struggle is in a somewhat difficult phase. He argued that Ukraine needs to rotate its military, and that the Russian leadership is learning from its own mistakes.
Christian Freuding also said that reinforcement with Western main battle tanks and armored personnel carriers would allow Ukrainians to gain a local advantage. "Then you will be able to succeed both in defense and in attack." On the other hand, achieving a broad advance is difficult. He noted that the front line is 1,200 kilometers long. However, Ukrainians have proven that they can be very skillful in tactics.

Earlier, military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko said on Espreso TV that the most important task for the Ukrainian Defense Forces now is to deplete the Russian army as much as possible, and then it will be possible to consider taking other steps.
