Russia and Belarus start simulating MiG-31K launches - Belarusian Hajun monitoring project
Russia and Belarus have begun to simulate flights of the MiG-31K fighter jet, which can carry Kinzhal hypersonic missiles
The Belarusian Hajun monitoring project reported the information.
"We believe that yesterday the fighter jets from Baranovichi conducted simulation flights at the airfield in Machulishchy. And the goal was, probably, to simulate the takeoff of a MiG-31K when a standard Su fighter takes off," the report says.
The monitoring project notes that it is extremely difficult to distinguish between Su and MiG takeoffs without visual observation.
On February 10, 3 takeoffs of a reconnaissance aircraft and MiG-31K fighters were recorded in Belarus. However, the last 2 cases had some strange coincidences. In particular, the fact that the aircraft did not return to the Machulishchy airfield from which they took off.
The Belarusian Hajun notes that in the morning a group of fighter jets flew to Machulishchy from Baranovichi. During the day, they took off from the Machulishchy airfield, and the sound of takeoff was very similar to MiG-31K and A-50.
