Putin will continue mobilization
Russian officials say a new decree is not needed to end mobilization imposed by President Vladimir Putin
Russian president, when he announced the end of mobilization, was surprised by a question from a journalist who asked if he was going to issue a corresponding decree and promised to consult with lawyers.
This is an obvious delusion. Putin does not need to consult with anyone. He is a lawyer by education and knows very well that in order to terminate the effect of the decree that does not specify the terms of this or that event, a new one must be issued. If Putin did not study well at the Faculty of Law at Leningrad University, he could at least convince of the correctness of such steps during his years as President of Russia. But he did not convince.
Because during the years of his work as president, he was convinced otherwise. In order to lead the authoritarian state, you just need to lie. That's why he lies. This is a classic lie. I well remember how, after the arrest of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Russian president was unable to explain to journalists the reasons for this detention, because he "couldn't" call the former prosecutor general of Russia. And it was comical, although scary. Now Putin's statements also look comical, albeit scary. And they make sure he will continue mobilization. He didn't like the public effect of the announcement of mobilization and wanted to calm the population a little. However, appeasement does not mean to stop being used as "cannon fodder".
