Putin has zugzwang situation. Each subsequent element of blackmail worsens his state of affairs - Ramiz Yunus
The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, is in a zugzwang situation, when he is obliged to take a move and is trying to choose the lesser evil
Political scientist Ramiz Yunus said this on Espreso TV.
"In fact, he has a zugzwang situation, every element of his blackmail makes his situation worse. Plus mobilization, plus martial law - look what it turned out to be in the domestic market. He expected the consolidation of society, and there is none. Mobilization caused people to flee the country, martial law also only worsened the situation - panic at the borders with Ukraine," he emphasized.
The international policy expert added that the Russian Federation understands that Crimea is occupied, the Black Sea Fleet, the borders are not protected, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon liberate Kherson, and this makes the situation more tense not only in the Kremlin, but also in the whole country.
"And Dagestan, look how it turned out, and the whole of Russia can turn into such a Dagestan. Therefore, we must understand the situation in which the Kremlin is now, and it is quite possible that the Kremlin also realizes this and is looking for which option to choose from two or three, which is less evil, so that it is possible to somehow move in the informational and political field. Because they have no leverage left in the war theater, only one topic - nuclear weapons. But not only the West has warned about this topic, but also India and China - in Samarkand and Astana," the political scientist noted.
