Peace between Ukraine, Russia is impossible – UN Secretary-General Guterres 

He made the statement in an interview with El Pais.

Secretary-General Guterres believes that now both Ukraine and Russia are "convinced that they can win." According to him, this is why there are no conditions for a ceasefire today.

"We are trying to engage in a dialogue with both sides to solve specific problems. The most important initiative was the export of grain from Ukraine. But now I see no possibility for an immediate ceasefire and peace talks," Guterres said.

• On April 24, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that before offering peace proposals, it is worth visiting Ukraine to see the consequences of the aggression with your own eyes.

• On April 25, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres handed over letters to Lavrov and Putin that outlined further action on the grain deal.
