Russia escalates assaults in Bakhmut sector — 26th Artillery Brigade
Oleh Kalashnikov, a spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that Russian troops are trying to storm the entire defense line of the Bakhmut section, namely Bohdanivka, Ivanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The situation in the Bakhmut direction is difficult now. We can observe that in recent days the enemy has increased the number of its attacks. The enemy is trying to storm us along the entire defense line of the Bakhmut section, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka. Over the past day, February 11, the largest number of enemy assault attacks took place in Klishchiivka and Andriivka, the invaders suffered significant losses in both personnel and military equipment. Russian troops failed to capture our positions and retreated," commented the spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade.
According to him, Russia is supporting the assault with artillery, drones and, when the weather permits, using aerial combat vehicles.
"The Russian military has likely been issued strict directives to demonstrate some progress for their leadership in this particular region, leading to intensified assaults. Chasiv Yar, being a fortified line and a crucial gateway to Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, is a key target for the enemy. The enemy aims to seize Chasiv Yar to showcase their success in capturing a strategically significant settlement. Despite encountering fierce resistance and suffering losses, the enemy remains steadfast in pursuing this objective," summarized Oleh Kalashnikov.
