Kherson Mayor Kolykhaev held in Russian-run torture chamber - District Council official
Russian forces have set up a torture chamber in the basement of the reception-distribution centre for children in occupied Kherson, according to the deputy head of Kherson city council.
Stanislav Troshin, Deputy Chairman of the Kherson District Council, shared the statement on Espreso.
"Now we are receiving various information from this building. 60-70 Kherson citizens are being held there. In total, more than 560 people have disappeared since February 24, more than 60 in this distributor. There are many people there. The mayor of Kherson, Ihor Kolykhaev, is there. There are direct testimonies of people who left that place ", he noted.
According to Troshin, Ukrainian activists and former soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, members of the ATO/JFO are kept there in very bad conditions.
"People are constantly trying to get some evidence out of them. People come out with broken ribs, arms, legs. This is a mini analog of "isolation" in Donetsk. In the 21st century, it's hard to imagine," he concluded.
