Invading Russian forces mine transport hubs, critical infrastructure in Kherson
Kherson journalist Kostyantyn Ryzhenko claims that Russian forces have mined the railway, local thermal power plant and heating network nodes in Kherson
He writes about this on Telegram.
Ryzhenko claims he has evidence from a "very reliable informant" about the mining of Kherson and critical infrastructure facilities. Reports suggest that invading forces mined all the railway track crossings in the city.
"We have analyzed the already recorded mine laying operations and assume that most likely the enemy plans to create an obstacle to the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces along this line," the journalist says.
Ryzhenko suggests that the Russians could also have mined the KhBK-Tavriyskiy overpass.
"It is known for sure about the mining of thermal power plants and some distribution centres for the heating network.
Information about mining sewers, power plants, and water utility facilities is available. But this is still being clarified," Ryzhenko said.
- Russia accuses the Ukrainian armed forces of "shelling" the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station using HIMARS missile systems and explain the lack of electricity supply in Kherson by referring to a "terrorist attack" on the Berislav-Kakhovka power line.
- Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Alexander Samoylenko says that the local occupation authorities also began to steal property, including monuments and relics.
