If Lukashenko sends his army against Ukraine, situation in Belarus will be "absolutely unmanageable" – Duda
Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Lukashenko is trying to prevent Putin from sending the Belarusian army to Ukraine as this would mean the end of the self-proclaimed president’s regime
He said this in an interview with Natalia Moseichuk.
Duda said that anything can be expected from Lukashenko’s regime, but he is sure that the dictator is trying to avoid an open fight between Belarus and Ukraine.
"There is no doubt that Lukashenko is trying to avoid Putin forcing him to send Belarusian army into Ukraine, to engage in open combat against Ukraine, because, first of all, it would mean death for many Belarusians, who have no combat experience, are not sufficiently armed, and who would have to suddenly face the Ukrainians that have been fighting for many years, extremely determined to defend their homeland," the Polish president said.
Duda noted that Belarusians do not want to fight Ukrainians, so if Lukashenko tries to send the Belarusian army to war, "it will be the end of him."
"I think, in this case, the nation will go against him in its entirety. The situation may turn out to be completely unmanageable for him," the president emphasized.
Duda noted that Lukashenko currently controls Belarusians through terror, "but all this may not be enough if he forces people to go and shed blood for a cause they consider shameful."

Zelenskyy stated that the Belarusian offensive will make it a terrorist country – this will be a giant historical mistake. He noted that today the risk of an attack from Belarus is low, 80% of Belarusians do not want to fight against Ukraine.
