Experts consider three political circles where Putin's successor may appear - military expert Badrak
Director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies Valentin Badrak noted that such opportunities are seen in the circles of the Russian special services, the army and the powerful group of Prigozhin and Kadyrov
He told about this on Espreso TV.
"Now, experts say that three possible groups are being considered as those where Putin's successor may appear. First of all, these are circles of special services, that is, the FSB, which are headed by Patrushev (Secretary of the Russian Security Council - ed.) and Bortnikov (Head of the FSB). The second powerful group is Prigozhin and Kadyrov, who strengthened amid the moral destruction of the military and achieved the resignation of Lapin (a colonel-general who was the commander of the “Center” military grouping of Russian troops - ed.), and also that all the negatives were absorbed by the military, which is helpless to wage war," the military expert commented.
Valentyn Badrak added that Prigozhin behaves like a kingpin who wants to get even stronger and apparently offers Putin a "security program" of both physical protection and Putin's power in the event of a mutiny.
"And the third circles are army circles, but I do not believe that there the same Surovikin (general of the Russian army, commander of the united group of Russian troops - ed.) can be perceived as an authoritative person, because the killings of civilians in other countries, Syria and Ukraine, are unlikely to give reasons to see this inhuman as a future politician. Accordingly, there is no obvious leader among the military, and there are many people who have compromised themselves," Badrak noted.
