British intelligence assesses possibility of new offensive in Northern Ukraine
British intelligence has assessed whether Belarusian and Russian troops undergoing training are a successful force for a new offensive in Northern Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain stated in the report.
Exercises of Belarusian army take place in the north-west of the country, far from the border with Ukraine. At the same time, Russian units of mobilized reservists were transferred to Belarus.
British Ministry of Defense notes that Belarus played a key role in Russia's attack on Kyiv on February 24.
"However, currently it is unlikely that Belarusian troops and Russian units conducting training constitute a force capable of carrying out a new successful offensive in the North of Ukraine," British intelligence emphasized.
