Belarus and Russia alliance is beneficial only to Putin

"It is obvious that Russia needs this alliance between Lukashenko and Putin more than Belarus. Putin will never perceive Lukashenko as an equal partner. Take for example the eternal oil wars between Lukashenko and Putin. Russia has been inflating oil prices for Belarus. Therefore, Lukashenko had been forced to negotiate with Kazakhstan to purchase oil, but Russia blocked this agreement by raising the prices of transportation through its territory," Bulba explained.

White Legion head believes that Lukashenko still resists Putin regarding Belarus entering the war against Ukraine.

"All alliances with Russia are necessary only for Putin and his political ambitions. Therefore, the alliance with Russia does not bring any benefit to the Belarusian people. And now the issue of Belarus’ subjectivity has been raised. Missiles from the territory of Belarus no longer fly over Ukraine. Putin continues to pressure Lukashenko to enter the war against Ukraine, but he is not succumbing to it yet. Therefore, it is quite likely that there is a threat of Lukashenko himself and his regime being removed," he added.
