Antoniv and Kakhov bridges hit again by Ukrainian fire

Natalya Gumenyuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, announced this on the air of the telethon, Espresso reports.

"The same fire control that we have been holding for several days in this direction has been worked out. It has its results, it has hits - quite significant - both on the Antonivsky and Kakhovsky bridges," she emphasized.

Humenyuk noted that also in the South, the Ukrainian military destroyed several Russian enemy bases with ammunition.

"And we are clarifying exactly which of the results are ours, as we understand that the resistance movement in the Russian occupied territories is quite powerful," she added.

Information about the strikes on the Antonivskyi Bridge appeared at night from August 7 to 8.  It was spread by local publics. It was noted that there was equipment on the bridge for its repair after previous hits, which caught fire as a result of the successful operation of HIMARS.  At the same time, there were reports of explosions in the area of ​​the bridge near the Kakhovskaya HPP.

The so-called authorities of the region confirm the strikes on Antonivsky bridge.They are talking about damage to the road surface and construction equipment. However, the load-bearing elements were not damaged.
