Zaluzhnyi suggests that Russia may attack Kyiv again
Russia may attack Ukraine from Belarusian territory to seize Kyiv.
In a joint article for Ukrinform, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi and Lieutenant General, 1st Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada Mykhailo Zabrodskyi wrote about this.
"The prospect of advancing in the direction of Zaporizhzhia may look attractive to the enemy. It ensures further actions to the north and the creation of a direct threat of taking control of Zaporizhzhia and the Dnipro, which in turn will lead to the Ukrainian side losing control over a large part of Left Bank Ukraine. Not excluded from the agenda is the return to the plan to seize Kyiv and the threat of re-launching hostilities from the territory of the Republic of Belarus," the article says.
Among Russia's operational plans is an advance on the Izyum and Bakhmut directions to reach the administrative border of the Donetsk region.
Zaluzhnyi also noted that the greatest opportunity for the Russian occupiers could be a further advance in the South of Ukraine to seize Mykolaiv and Odesa, as well as create a threat to the West and the Center of Ukraine.
