On March 6, Bild wrote that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi had different views on the battle for Bakhmut in Donetsk region. Zelenskyy denied any disagreement with Zaluzhnyi and said that he and the Ground Forces Commander Syrskyi were in favour of continuing to defend the city. National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov called the Bild article a fake by Russia.
