Xi seeks dividends on "Ukrainian issue"
China has decided to demonstrate a more neutral and objective position toward Ukraine in order to be assured a role in the military conflict settlement
It is naïve to believe that Xi suddenly stopped being an imperialist, militarist or autocrat, decided to surrender a strategic ally or did not foresee that siding with the conventionally "Western" camp against the backdrop of the Taiwan issue would cause an ambiguous attitude in his country. So what could be the reasons?
1. This is the result of certain agreements with Macron, who is trying to soften the confrontation along the lines of Europe and the People's Republic of China.

2. China has decided to adopt a more neutral and objective stance towards the conflict in Ukraine, with the aim of positioning itself as an international mediator for the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This move would strengthen China's strategic position, and given its influence on Putin, it is not an unrealistic goal. However, it is unlikely to materialize if the West perceives China as a staunch ally of Russia.
3. Xi Jinping intends to leverage this opportunity to demonstrate to Putin the limits of China's support more sternly and establish an unwavering reflex of submission.
These factors can operate both individually or in concert.
