Viktor Bolekhan, commander of the Ukrainian 128th Division's Motorized Infantry Unit dies liberating Kherson region
Viktor Bolekhan, a soldier from Transcarpathia who commanded the 128th Mountain Assault Division's Motorized Infantry Unit has been killed in action defending Ukraine from Russian invasion.
Vasyl Shchur, head of the Mizhhirsky Territorial Community, states, "Espreso.West" reports.
Viktor Bolekhan was the commander of the motorized infantry unit of the 128th mountain-assault Transcarpathian brigade. The hero died during the liberation of the settlement of Khreshchenivka, Kherson region.
"Unfortunately, we have tragic news again. Our countryman Viktor Bolekhan died liberating the Kherson region. Words simply cannot describe the sorrow and grief that came to us today in Mizhhirshchyna! This is already the fourth officially recognized loss in our community in this merciless war, among those heroes who protect our state!" - Shchur noted.
The soldier defended Ukraine from the first days of the war. He has a father, mother, sister, wife and two sons.
