Ukrainian Armed Forces explain why they consider attack from Belarus unlikely to happen
Attack on Ukraine from Belarusian territory is possible if the grouping of troops is strengthened to 50,000 - 70,000 soldiers, but currently there is no such number of soldiers on the territory of Belarus
Yevhen Silkin, assistant commander of the United Forces of Ukrainian Armed Forces, shared the update, according to RBC Ukraine news.
"We will say for sure (that the Russian Federation will launch a new offensive from the north. - ed.) when a sufficient number of Russian troops appear on the territory of Belarus. Namely, when they strengthen their grouping of troops to about 50,000 - 70,000 soldiers. Then we will be able to say they are ready for a new offensive", he said.
Silkin noted that currently such number of troops has not been recorded. According to his data, only about 4,000 Russian troops arrived in Belarus. At the same time, Belarus is preparing training grounds for the reception of Russians. There should be about 20,000 Russian troops in the so-called allied group for a possible offensive, the rest should be Belarusians.

Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff previously suggested that Russians may try to attack Kyiv, using the territory of Belarus as a springboard.
