Ukraine’s NSDC says Russia is preparing new offensive by February 24
Russian forces are preparing for a new wave of offensive in Ukraine by February 24 and are reconnoitring Ukraine's defense capabilities
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said this to Radio Liberty.
"Now they are preparing for maximum activation, taking into account the fact that these are people from the Soviet Union, and they believe that they should have some achievements by the anniversary. It's no secret that they are preparing for a new wave by February 24, as they say themselves. There is an understanding of the areas where they want to do something," he said.
Danilov noted that first of all, the invaders have a task for Donetsk and Luhansk regions - to completely reach the borders of the regions. In addition, the Russian military has been reconnoitring the defense capabilities of Ukrainian forces in the Zaporizhzhia sector for a week.
"And now there is a certain accumulation of troops. We know this, we understand what is happening in Russia in this regard," he said.
