Ukraine’s National Guard advances 650 meters deep into Russian defenses in Melitopol direction
One of the National Guard brigades has moved around 650 meters into the Russian defenses in the Melitopol direction. They have dug in and fortified their position at the boundary they reached
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.
The Guardsmen are continuing their offensive actions in the Melitopol direction as part of the Defense Forces' strike groups.
“On the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, the National Guard is holding defensive lines with designated forces and resources. The forces of the National Guard on the Kupyansk direction are firmly maintaining the occupied lines, while special-purpose units conduct aerial reconnaissance,” the message said.
In the border areas of the Sumy region, the National Guardsmen are taking measures to detect enemy infiltration and prevent their activities in Ukraine.
In the Kherson direction, National Guard units are still involved in humanitarian demining, stabilization efforts, and other tasks to support the Defense Forces' actions.
Ukraine’s counteroffensive
