Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence deploys artificial intelligence drones
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have started using the SAKER SCOUT artificial intelligence drone. It independently recognises and records the coordinates of enemy vehicles, which eliminates the human factor
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence reported the information.
The drone has a flight range of 10 km. It can fly even at night thanks to its infrared optics.
"The system, using advanced optics, independently detects and records the coordinates of enemy vehicles (even camouflaged ones), immediately transmitting information to the command post for appropriate decision-making. This eliminates the risk of human error, as the operator's eye is not always able to capture all the nuances," the Ministry of Defence said.
"The complex includes a flagship reconnaissance drone, as well as several FPV ‘kamikaze’ drones, which are also adjusted with the help of the flagship drone," they added.
The agency noted that the drone can use an inertial guidance system, which significantly increases its resistance to electronic warfare. In addition, it integrates with all the Ukrainian Armed Forces' existing situational awareness systems, including the Delta system.
