The members of TVORCHI, the music band that will represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2023, are not sure they will be able to leave the country due to new border crossing rules issued by Ukraine's Ministry of Culture and Information Policy

This is stated on the band's Instagram page.

They recalled that in the spring of 2022, the band began giving charity concerts around the world in support of Ukraine. The musicians raised funds for military ammunition, cars, medical equipment, basic necessities for IDPs, etc.

“We have united and become an army of the cultural front. We have managed to raise millions of dollars, conduct educational work, meet with the leaders of partner countries, tell the truth, ask for help, and say words of gratitude,” the post reads.

At the same time, they noted that the further work of all artists in this area is now in question because of traitorous artists who left and did not return to Ukraine.

Now, according to TVORCHI, their performance in Nairobi next week, where USAID invited them to speak at the opening of the mural as part of the Wall project and to influence the level of anti-Ukrainian propaganda there, is in question.

The band's participation in all promotional events before the Eurovision Song Contest was also in question, and, accordingly, the opportunity to represent their country and their work.

“We hope that justice will prevail, the traitors will be punished, and we will be given the opportunity to work for the good of the country and the brand of Ukraine,” they summarized.

маємо надію, що справедливість візьме гору, зрадники будуть покарані, а нам дадуть можливість працювати на благо країни та на бренд України", - резюмували там.

  • The winners of the National Eurovision Song Contest held on December 17 were TVORCHI, who managed to win the hearts of the audience and received 10 points. The judges rated the performance at 9.

  • The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 was supposed to take place in Ukraine, as Kalush Orchestra won the song contest this year. However, due to the Russian war on the territory of Ukraine, the European Broadcasting Union transferred the right to host the contest to the UK. On behalf of Ukraine, it will be held in Liverpool. The first semi-final will take place at the Liverpool Arena on May 9, the second on May 11, and the grand final on May 13.

  • On December 28, TVORCHI, a Ukrainian band from Ternopil that won the National Eurovision Song Contest, officially became Ukraine's representative at the contest.
