To effectively fight ballistic missiles, it is necessary to “hunt” for launching systems in Russia and Belarus - Defense Express analyst Oleh Katkov

This was stated on the air of the Espreso TV channel by the editor-in-chief of the Defense Express portal Oleh Katkov.

"There is a way against ballistic missiles, in my opinion, it is the only one. In my opinion, the only objective response to such a threat is to receive long-range missile weapons from the allies. We are talking about Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS), but not just about them. There are also air-launched cruise missiles that can be integrated under the wing of Soviet aircraft," the expert noted.

According to Katkov, any ban on the target's destruction, such as missile launchers on the territory of Belarus and the Russian Federation, should still be lifted.

"We must understand that no one will give us the number of missile defense systems necessary to protect Ukraine. The only optimal aspect is precisely the "hunt" for launching systems in the Russian Federation and Belarus," he concluded.
