Situation on Belarusian border amid news of possible offensive
As of the morning of February 9, the situation on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border within the Volyn region is under control
Espreso reports that this was stated by the head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration, Yuriy Pohulyaiko.
Today, the boundary line is calm despite a new wave of alarming news about a possible offensive. Border guards monitor the situation around the clock and report on the situation.
"Residents of the region, I want to inform you about the situation at the border, because I know how important this is for everyone. Especially considering the new wave of disturbing news in social networks and the media... The border is under military control. We are not currently observing any actions that could indicate a threat of an offensive," he writes.
He also reminded that volunteers are being recruited for the Offensive Guard brigades. Among them is the Steel Frontier brigade, which needs motivated fighters to protect the region and the country. Anyone can apply and choose a brigade at six Service centers in Volyn Oblast, two of which are in Lutsk. They are also located in Kovel, Volodymyr, Manevychi and Kamin-Kashyrskyi.
