Saxony's head criticizes EU visa restrictions for Russians
Saxony’s Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer considers it wrong to suspend the simplified visa regime for Russians in the EU
Tagesschau reports this with reference to a statement by a politician of the main opposition Christian Democratic Union party, Michael Kretschmer.
According to him, it was a big mistake to block the way to the European Union for Russians who did not want to do military service or go to war.
Kretschmer said that there are many Russians who want to learn a profession or study in Germany, and "people who fled Russia consider it a big mistake that they are being hindered."
