Russia’s S-400 system in Crimea destroyed by new Ukrainian missile – top security official
The Russian S-400 Triumph missile system was destroyed in Crimea on August 23 with the help of a new modern Ukrainian missile that proved to be "absolutely flawless"
Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said this on Ukrainian Radio.
Commenting on the suggestions by some military experts that the S-400 system was hit by a "new type of Ukrainian missile," Danilov said: "The missile was new. The missile was absolutely modern. Yes, this is our new product, which has proven to be absolutely flawless."
He did not answer the question whether it was a completely new development or a new modification of an existing weapon. He emphasized that this is a development of the Ukrainian defense industry as part of a program launched in 2020.
Danilov added that not all the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council were made public, so the public could not know about certain developments.
