Russia’s Medvedev threatens retaliation if Kyiv tries to return Crimea
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has threatened Ukrainian President Zelenskyy with "acts of retaliation" for his intention to return the temporarily occupied Crimea
Medvedev wrote about this on Telegram.
This is how he reacted to Zelenskyy's statement about Ukraine's intention to return the temporarily occupied peninsula.
"This is a hysterical manifesto of the Kyiv regime in order to consolidate the 'Nazi' elite, maintain the morale of the troops and receive new support from its 'sponsors,'" Medvedev wrote.
In response to the attempt to de-occupy Crimea, he threatened Ukraine with mass destruction of personnel and military equipment, "acts of retaliation" and promised to overthrow the current government in Kyiv.
"There can only be one answer. Massive destruction of personnel and military equipment involved in the counteroffensive, inflicting maximum defeat on the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The complete defeat of the enemy and the final overthrow of the "Nazi" regime in Kyiv with its complete demilitarisation throughout Ukraine. Carrying out acts of retaliation against key figures of the regime, regardless of their location and without any statute of limitations. Otherwise, they will not calm down, their drug-induced delusions may turn into reality, and the war will last for a long time. Our country does not need this," Medvedev summarized.
