Russian troops prepare for potential hostilities in Crimea – Military Media Center

“The occupying forces are fortifying the northern, western, and eastern parts of the peninsula to defend against a potential attack,” according to the message.

It is mentioned that the defense of the Crimean Isthmus is being strengthened as well.

Russian forces in the Azov and Black Seas are primarily focused on preventing attacks on their ships and fleet bases.

• On July 2, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released a video warning of "stormy weather" in Crimea this summer and advised against visiting the peninsula.

• On July 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that peace in Ukraine cannot be achieved without the de-occupation of Crimea.

• Andriy Ryzhenko, an expert at the Center for Defense Strategies, believes that Ukraine can regain control of Crimea using methods other than just military action.
