War will not end while Crimea is occupied – Zelenskyy
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that peace in Ukraine is impossible without de-occupation of Crimea
He said this in an exclusive interview with CNN.
According to Zelenskyy, despite the fact that Ukraine's efforts are focused on the liberation of territories in the south and east of the country, Kyiv's ultimate goal is still the de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula. Asked if there was a scenario where he could see peace without Crimea, he replied that "then it would not be a victory".
"We cannot imagine Ukraine without Crimea. And while Crimea is under the Russian occupation, it means only one thing: the war is not over yet," Zelenskyy said.
