Russia loses large number of armored vehicles in Lyman sector - 21st Brigade
Serhiy Dibrov, head of public relations with Ukraine's 21st Detached Mechanized Brigade, says that Russia lost numerous armored vehicles near Lyman, Donetsk region
He said this on Espreso TV.
"Over the past two months, we have seen the intensification of Russian attacks in our direction, and we are holding the line in the Lyman area. In December, Russia attempted to attack us with a large number of personnel and equipment, and it was not very successful. The enemy had an order to achieve some success by January 1, but it did not happen.
Then, for several weeks, the Russians were gathering new forces, manpower, and equipment. Recently, the Russians have launched a new attack, as they say, for the last time. This time we felt the impact of many armored vehicles. The Russian troops have brought in dozens of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and armored personnel carriers, which are now burning up in front of our positions," noted Dibrov.
According to the head of the public relations service of the 21st Detached Mechanized Brigade, Ukrainian sappers, artillerymen and drone operators worked effectively.
"Russia's armored fist has significantly decreased. Dozens of vehicles remained on the battlefield, so the Russians are again intensifying attacks with manpower and the number of artillery and small arms attacks on our positions," emphasized Dibrov.
- Over the past day, the Russian forces have been actively engaged in combat in the Marinka sector of Donetsk region. Ukrainian troops repelled 25 enemy attacks and destroyed 990 soldiers.
- Major Nadiia Zamryha, head of the public relations service with the 14th Detached Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great, says that Russia suffers heavy losses in the Kupyansk sector.
