Russia accuses Ukraine of attacking Crimea with 42 drones
On the night of August 24-25, Russian air defense allegedly countered Ukrainian drone attack on Crimea
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
“Anti-aircraft defense systems identified 42 unmanned aerial vehicles. Out of these, 9 UAVs were destroyed due to fire impact over Crimea, while 33 were disrupted by electronic warfare methods and crashed before reaching their target,” Russian MoD’s message says.
Sevastopol's leader, Mykhail Rozvozhaev, claimed that some UAVs were allegedly taken down over the sea, near Cape Chersonesos.
“Emergency services have not reported any harm to civilian infrastructure. The city is currently calm, but all necessary forces and services are on high alert,” as stated by the false governor.
Partisans from the Krymskiy Veter Telegram channel began sharing information about UAV flights from 2:00 a.m. on Friday. They also mentioned potential casualties near Simferopol.
