Russia accumulates its forces in Belarus
Serhiy Naiev, commander of the United Forces of the AFU, said that Russia has been accumulating its forces in Belarus, but there is currently no threat of an attack from Belarusian territory
The commander reported the information on Facebook.
"Today, the situation in the northern operational zone is controlled. However, the accumulation of Russian and Belarusian allied troops is underway on the territory of Belarus. Therefore, we are constantly monitoring the situation and preparing our forces for an appropriate response," said Naiev.
He emphasized that there is currently no threat coming from Belarus.
"The work we are doing should increase the stability of our defense and the adequacy of our response to the growth of this threat," Naiev noted.
He assured that if the military threat from Belarus rises, Ukraine has allocated additional forces and means to strengthen the northern border.
On October 13, Serhiy Naiev reported that Russia may try to attack northern Ukraine from the territory of Belarus again, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready for such developments.
