OC South calls to wait for official data on Myrne and Dorozhnianka, Zaporizhzhia region
Operational Command South (OC South) doesn't confirm that Russian forces seized Myrne and Dorozhnianka in the Zaporizhzhia region on January 12
Operational Command South's press center head Natalia Humeniuk said this on Espreso TV.
“I urge you to wait for the official report of the General Staff on this issue. It is very fundamental and important when the military can proclaim it. Unfortunately, officials are sometimes in a hurry and do some harm. This is exactly the case. The military cannot state a fact that will harm them now,” she said.
Earlier, deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council and volunteer Serhii Lyshenko said that the enemy had intensified its activity in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
He noted that since the beginning of the year, the number of attacks near the frontline has significantly increased.
“There are also failures. If earlier two villages near Huliaipole - Myrne and Dorozhnianka - were in the gray zone, yesterday (January 12 - ed.) they were occupied by the Russian enemy. It is not yet known whether our soldiers have retreated from their positions, or the distance between them has simply narrowed, but the enemy is approaching Huliaipole, and I do not exclude that in the future we will have battles for it as a town,” he noted.
Serhii Lyshenko connected the intensification of shelling with these events.
